Alvarez Tax Service LLC was founded in 2001 by Antonio Alvarez, EA, and Maria Alvarez.
The initial purpose of Alvarez Tax was to assist individual tax clients in their tax preparation needs, and
over the years the company has evolved to serving business clients in bookkeeping, payroll and tax
preparation, while maintaining our core client’s satisfied. With over 35 years of cumulative tax
experience, Alvarez Tax has assisted countless small business owners with the direction toward fulfilling their financial goals.

Antonio Alvarez, EA
Antonio Alvarez has been an Enrolled Agent since 2006, specializing in tax preparation for individual and business clients. He is authorized by the Internal Revenue Service to prepare and file tax returns, provide tax advice to individuals and businesses and represent clients before the IRS. He has over 33 years of experience in the tax industry. His experience as a small business owner and his ability to relate to them has allowed for a more customized and personal experience for tax clients.
Antonio is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, National Association of Tax Professionals and the California Society of Enrolled Agents. As an attendee of the National Tax Practice Institute, he earned his designation as a fellow in 2013. He is also a part of the cadre of presenters for the Internal Revenue Service, volunteering his time to further educate small business owners thru joint presentations with Employment Development Department and the SCORE organization.
Maria Alvarez, is an enterprising and visionary entrepreneur. Graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Juarez. With her experience in administration and planning, Maria has been a fundamental part in the growth and development of Alvarez Tax Service. Her desire to help small entrepreneurs reach their goals led Maria to create the Bookkeeping Department. Her focus is to continue encouraging small entrepreneurs to keep their finances in order, so they can make the best decisions, and grow businesses.
Antonio Alvarez Jr.
Antonio Alvarez Jr. graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a BA in Business Administration, Concentration in Finance. Professionally, Antonio has nine years of tax preparation and tax resolution experience with individual and business clients. He obtained his Enrolled Agent designation to practice before the IRS in 2015. He is also a graduate of the National Tax Practice Institute where he was awarded the designation of NTPI Fellow in 2016. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Taxation.
He is a member of the California Society of Enrolled Agents where he serves as a Director of the Orange County Chapter. His other memberships include National Association of Enrolled Agents, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers.
Juan Carlos Araujo
Juan Carlos Araujo is the Bookkeeping Department Supervisor. He joined to Alvarez Tax Service in October 2015. He graduated from University Francisco Gavidia El Salvador , He has accounting certification from Irvine Valley College. Juan Carlos duties include assist our small business clients with their bookkeeping needs. He is QuickBooks Desktop Certified User and QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor. Certifications that has given to him the ability to help clients with QuickBooks needs.
Tax Resolution Team
Our Tax team consist of Marissa Dubon, EA and Jorge Navarro, EA. Marissa has been a valued team member for many years of Alvarez Tax Service, LLC. Her vast experience in bookkeeping combined with her six years tax experience has made her a welcome addition to our Tax Department. Jorge has over ten years’ experience in client services and three years preparing tax return and assisting taxpayers with tax issues.
The bookkeeping team consists of four professionals specialized in accounting. Eunice Muñoz, graduated from the Autonomous University of Nayarit, Mexico. Wade Naime, graduated from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, Venezuela. Also, the team is proficient in QuickBooks.
